Anjum Rahman



Arriving in New Zealand as a young child, Anjum has her roots in the Waikato. It is home, the place she gave birth to two lovely daughters and where she has focused her efforts as a community activist and social disruptor. Anjum is a chartered accountant with a passion for cultural change and celebrating diversity.  As founding member and current board member of Shama (Hamilton Ethnic Women's Centre), the Islamic Women's Council and the Campaign for Consent (Hamilton), she has dedicated herself to improving lives of women through advocacy and practical support.
