Isis McKay is the General Manager of Women’s Health Action, where she has worked for the past 10 years. With a back ground in public health, Isis is a dedicated and passionate activist working towards a fairer, safer, and healthier Aotearoa. A proud leader of an organisation who champions consumer engagement and patient rights in Aotearoa New Zealand, Isis has developed and led initiatives aimed at improving women’s health care policy and service development through consumer, community and gender-based perspectives. In addition, Isis also oversees the delivery of National community development projects such as the Big Latch On and Eat, Play, Love and has launched campaigns including #nooneway and #babiescantwait. As a mum of three young children, Isis is immersed in the realities of parenting and understands the joys and challenges faced by parents and caregivers using her experience to help those in need and enjoys challenging mainstream definitions of success and health.
